727 Records was started in 2001 by Joshua and Jeremy Provost. Originally, it was intended to be a vehicle to release albums by their band The Moon Is No More. They quickly realized that there was much more worthy music at their fingertips, thanks to their creative circle of friends, locally and internationally. It is appropriate that the label's first release isn't from TMINM, but an EP from Cleary, a pop-punk outfit Josh participates in.

727 Records is a micro-label. That means that we work with and support our own bands and the bands of our friends. A typical release may only be produced in quantities of one or two thousand. The label may be small, but that doesn't mean we cut corners. We run our own all-digital recording studio with a full suite of instruments. All of our CD's are Enhanced CD's loaded with multimedia content and bonus material. Most importantly, stickers are always free.
